Located around 12 km from Pahalgam Aru is a scenic village surrounded by lakes mountains and meadows. The village is base camp for trekkers to the Tarsar-Marsar lakes the Kolahoi Glacier, and the Katrinag valley. It is also the base for trekking to Lidderwat, Vishansar-Kishansar lakes and Kangan. The Kolahoi is the largest glacier in Kashmir Valley, located near Mt. Kolahoi (5425m), the highest peak in the Valley.
